Ogden family’s Easter lamb sale raises funds for hospital that saved their son
Thirteen years ago, Bill and Katrina Ogden started donating ten lambs every year and sold them at the Bendigo Saleyards on the Monday before Easter.
This had all come about because their second child, Heathy, had pneumonia back in 2013 when he was 15 months old. When they left the hospital with an 80% healthy child, Bill decided then that they would try and raise some money to donate back to the hospital that saved their son’s life.
So, on 30 March this year, they sold their annual ten lambs. One of them made $700 and the other nine made $500 each! (Thanks to Midfield, JBS, ALC and TFI.)
Bill and Katrina would like to thank Elders for selling the sheep and also the meat-buyers who dig deep each year for this wonderful cause.
