Well-known Rushworth resident Barry “Tuddy” Weaver has retired from the Rushworth Public Cemetery Trust after 20 years of dedicated service.

During his time with the Trust, Barry made a significant contribution to the development, maintenance and day-to-day operation of the cemetery, earning the respect and appreciation of fellow members and the wider community.

To recognise his outstanding commitment, Rushworth Public Cemetery Trust President Mal McLean presented Barry with a Certificate of Appreciation, along with a formal letter of thanks from the Manager of the Victorian Government Health Department’s Cemeteries Division.

Barry said that although he was stepping down from the Trust, he still planned to remain actively involved by continuing to work in the cemetery grounds to help maintain its appearance and smooth operation.

Mr McLean encouraged other community members who may have some spare time and an interest in assisting at the cemetery to contact the Trust on 0466 346 803.
