Celebrating decades of service at Waranga Health
Three dedicated Waranga Health staff members have been recognised for a combined 85 years of service at GV Health’s annual Staff Service Awards.
The awards, held on 13 August, celebrated staff from across GV Health who reached significant milestones during 2026, ranging from five to 40 years of service.
Among those recognised were Waranga Health’s Alison Neville, who celebrated 25 years of service, and Sharon Gleeson and Deidre Laby, who each marked 30 years at Waranga Health.
For Deidre, the occasion represented an even greater milestone, with this year also marking an extraordinary 50 years since she began her nursing career.
Waranga Health Director of Nursing Nadiene Jerram said the milestones reflected the remarkable commitment the three staff members had shown to Waranga Health and the local community.
“Alison, Sharon and Deidre have each made an enormous contribution to Waranga Health over many years, and we are incredibly fortunate to have such experienced and dedicated people as part of our team,” Nadiene said.
“Their knowledge, compassion and commitment have benefited not only their colleagues, but generations of patients, residents and families across our community.
“Reaching 25 or 30 years with an organisation is a wonderful achievement and we are very proud to celebrate them.”
GV Health’s Staff Service Awards recognise the contribution of long-serving employees and provide an opportunity to reflect on the relationships they have built with colleagues, patients and communities throughout their careers.
Congratulations to Alison, Sharon and Deidre, and thank you for your many years of dedication to Waranga Health and the community.
