Callum Gleeson stars on ‘The Voice’
Callum’s other activities
Unfortunately COVID-19 has brought his career as an entertainer to a halt at present, but he has recorded his sixth CD when travelling to Nashville, USA, in June. It is entitled ‘Callum Gleeson – The Nashville Album’. This CD is available for purchase at Focus Cards & Gifts in the Mall at Shepparton, High Street Vacuums and Electrical in Shepparton, ONE FM, the Wunghnu Tavern and at any of Callum’s gigs.
Callum is also a popular presenter on ONE FM, the community radio station at Shepparton, on Thursdays from 12 midday to 3pm.
A very popular talent show is Channel 9’s ‘The Voice’ and on Monday 9 June former Rushworth resident Callum Gleeson starred.
Callum, the son of Noel (a former policeman at Rushworth) and Bev, is a well known entertainer and showcased his skills in this television performance.
In the third last of the Blind Auditions, with the four coaches, Guy Sebastian, Delta Goodrem, Boy George and Kelly Rowland close to having their teams full, it was not easy to get them to turn their chairs.
Callum sang ‘Locomotion’ and very positively engaged the large audience present and it was very rewarding for him when Delta Goodrem turned her chair and later complimented him for having ‘a beautiful voice’. Delta will now be his coach in the ‘Battle Rounds’.
While on screen, Callum publicly thanked ‘my wonderful supportive family who have been with me all along.’
Watching Callum off stage (but still featured on the television screen) were his parents, his brother Tyson and the family’s two poodles that the production team had asked them to bring. (When not singing, Callum loves to show his family’s poodles at dog shows). After his performance, a coach invited his mother to bring one of the poodles onto the stage and the coaches and the audience loved the beautiful dog.
Callum doesn’t know when he will be next on ‘The Voice’.
